Virasoft’s journey began in 2017, founded by two childhood friends and young engineers who shared a deep sense of purpose. Growing up in an area profoundly impacted by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster, they witnessed firsthand the devastating rise in cancer cases within their hometowns. This experience ignited their passion and determination to make a difference in pathology and cancer care.
Our mission has been clear from the beginning: to leverage technology to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment. In 2022, we took a big step by setting up our headquarters in New York and keeping our R&D office in Istanbul, aiming to expand our reach globally. We aim to improve the pathology workflow, ensure seamless processes, and increase the accuracy of diagnoses and Virasoft solutions reach 400,000 cases annually in 20+ institutions, supporting the workflow and decision-making of hundreds of pathologists.
Our dedicated team is the heart of Virasoft who are also sensitive in fighting with cancer. Therefore, each member of the Virasoft family views the technology output they produce not as a product but as a contribution that can be a potential solution to cancer.
We collaborate closely with pathologists, ensuring our products are tested and refined in real clinical settings. Our advisory group includes esteemed academicians, primarily based in the US and Turkey, with backgrounds in computer science and anatomic pathology, providing invaluable insights and guidance.
